Warning sign
Two-way traffic ahead
This warning triangle, showing two vertical arrows pointing in opposite directions, tells you that you are about to meet traffic travelling in both directions, typically where a one-way street or dual carriageway ends.
When you see it
- ◆ Expect oncoming vehicles on the road ahead and keep well to the left.
- ◆ Do not overtake unless you can clearly see the road is clear.
- ◆ It often appears where a dual carriageway becomes a single carriageway.
- ◆ A similar sign with a side arrow warns of two-way traffic crossing a one-way road.
