Slippery road
This warning triangle tells you the road ahead may be slippery, for example from surface water, mud, or a slick surface. Adjust your driving to keep control.
When you see it
- ◆ Reduce your speed and avoid harsh braking, accelerating or steering.
- ◆ Increase the gap between you and the vehicle in front.
- ◆ Remember that a slippery surface greatly increases your stopping distance.
- ◆ Be especially careful in wet, icy or frosty conditions.
