This warning triangle warns that children may be crossing on their way to or from school. It is often used near schools, playgrounds and recreation grounds.
When you see it
- ◆ Reduce your speed and be ready to stop, especially at school start and finish times.
- ◆ Watch for a school crossing patrol showing a "Stop, children" sign.
- ◆ Remember children can be unpredictable and may step out without looking.
- ◆ Look out for flashing amber lights at some school crossings.
