A red ring around a U-turn arrow crossed by a red diagonal bar means no U-turns. You must not turn your vehicle round to face the opposite direction at this point.
When you see it
- ◆ Do not make a U-turn where this sign applies.
- ◆ Continue and find a roundabout or side road to turn around safely.
- ◆ It is common on busy roads and where a U-turn would block traffic.
- ◆ A red diagonal bar through a symbol always means that action is prohibited.
