Level crossing with barrier ahead
This warning triangle, showing a gate, tells you there is a level crossing with a barrier or gate ahead. A separate version without a gate warns of a crossing with no barrier.
When you see it
- ◆ Be ready to stop when the amber light, then the twin flashing red lights, show.
- ◆ Never zigzag around a half-barrier or cross while the red lights flash.
- ◆ Wait if the barrier stays down -- a second train may be coming.
- ◆ Never stop, park or overtake on a level crossing.
